For all its simplicity, the College Motto has great depth in meaning as it embodies the principles upon which the College was founded. The College was named ‘Pioneer’ in the anticipation that it will mould students who will be ‘explorers of new knowledge’. The motto encapsulates the spirit of inquiry that all Pioneers are expected to possess, a spirit which includes the following qualities:

• Perseverance in lifelong learning
• Willingness to look at existing knowledge from new perspectives
• Courage to venture into unknown territories to explore new boundaries of knowledge.

‘Radial’ is a student handbook. It aims to give students useful information about Pioneer Junior College and JC education. Students will be able to find out what expectations the college has of them, what services they can expect from the college and how and in which areas they can contribute to the college.

Staff and students should refer to this handbook to seek and clarify information regarding all aspects of college life. The college administration welcomes feedback from staff and students on how we can further improve this handbook.
