East Spring Sec will be sharing with E3 Cluster schools on 19 November 2008 our practices and journey towards excellence in the following areas:

  • Framework for Character and Values Education
  • External Safety Validation Structures and Processes
  • PDS Certification (APEX Model)

 

Our 2009 Strategic Planning 1 for all teaching staff, selected EAS and student leaders will be held in the Grass-root Club on the 13 and 14 of Nov 2008. Participants are to report at 0830 hrs. Come prepared to plan for our students' future

 

East Spring Secondary School Entrepreneurship Club would be participating in the PushCart Competition on Monday, 17 November 2008 to Tuesday, 18 November 2008 . It would be held in Toa Payoh, HDB Hub . We would be selling customised-design canvas shoes and files and various other hand-made  products. We would really appreciate the support.

We have been conferred the following awards for our achievements in the 2007 GCE exam:

Academic Value-added Award (Express)- Silver

Academic Value-added Award (Normal)- Bronze

This is an improvement from the Academic Value- added award(Express) -- Bronze we attained the last two years!

On 19 July 2008, the school organized a Community Involvement Programme (CIP) in conjunction with our Fund Raising Campaign for all students and staff.

The classes were tasked to carry out different activities viz:

  • Social Responsibility Programme
  • Community Day and Project 3R for Sec 1s, 3s, 4NA/NT
  • Charity Bazaar for Sec 2s
  • Beach-cleaning for Sec 4E/5NA

This is the first time East Spring Secondary School Softball Team made it through the qualifying rounds and eventually to the finals. East Spring Secondary School came in second in the East Zone Softball Competition.

We have also added a new pitching machine to improve the standard of the students.
