3 and 4 March 8.30 to 3.30	TLLM in Primary Science	The 12h workshop sessions will provide opportunity for teachers to • reflect on what aspects of our own learning helped us understand the essential concepts and ideas • review the developmental and learning theories that help us understand children’s development and how we can use it to inform our classroom practices. • consider effective pedagogical strategies (curriculum customization) that will help us engage learners Facilitator: Dr Jane Lloyd
6-Mar	Sharing of Inquiry Learning in through Blogging	Participants of last years' Teacher Attachment will share on how blogging has been used as a reflective tool. Facilitator: Dr Jane Lloyd
17 to 20 Mar	Music In Harmony	This 1½ hour workshop is designed to provide students with an inquiry-based and cooperative learning experience, utilizing an environment different from what they are used to. Students will explore ideas, engage in hands-on activities, and work collaboratively in a mini performance. Facilitator: BOSE CORPORATION and MENC: The National Association for Music Education
29 & 30 Jan, 18Mar	Action Research on Inquiry Approach	3-day programme: Schools from the EZ to participate in an action research to find out the effectiveness of inquiry based learning. Facilitators: Dr Tan Aik Ling and Dr Lee Yew Jin, NIE
20 and 27 Mar	Science by Inquiry	Focus on science by inquiry in the P3 & P4 Syllabus Facilitator: CPDD officers
To be confirmed	C.A.R.T.EL	Charted Automation, Robotics & Technological Elements (CARTEL) Lego NXT for High Ability Pupils @ Temasek Secondary. Aimed at developing students’ full potential across abroad spectrum of disciplines through robotics technologies. Facilitators: Teachers from Temasek Secondary

To be confirmed	Changing Contexts—“Explore –it-ah!” @ Science Exploria & Singapore Science Centre	The aim of this 2-day programme is to provide our Science teachers with the opportunities to reflect, rethink and respond to their current understanding and teaching of Science. Day 1 At Science Exploria ( East Spring Primary School ) Time : 2.00pm to 5.00pm (please register at the foyer outside Fun Science Lab) Day 2 At the Singapore Science Centre ( Science Centre Road ) Time : 9.00am to 4.00pm (please register at the main entrance)
27 Feb and 25 Mar ( 2 -5pm )	Integration of Technology in Primary Science: Data-loggers and Webquests	Participants will explore how data-loggers and webquests can be used in the teaching and learning of Primary Science. Facilitator: Master Teacher Alice Aw
3-Apr	Innovative Science Teaching Strategies	EZ HODs will be invited to share on successful and innovative science teaching strategies. Take this opportunity to share about your school’s success story in the classroom with other teachers and send your teachers to benefit from this sharing by practitioners! 1 Apr	How to answer Science Questions	HOD/Sc from the Science Exploria working committee will be sharing on how teachers can help to guide and help pupils to answer science questions effectively. Facilitators: Mrs Doris Tan, Mrs Lim Choon Num, Mdm Padmini Achuthan Warrier & Mdm Ella Lee Kay Hoon

1 – 2 Aug	Eco-System Inquiry Based (EIBL) Learning package		Sc Exploria is in the process of developing inquiry –based materials that are based on the Eco-system model that is in the hosting school, East Spring Primary School . The set of materials will be given to all primary schools in the East Zone. This workshop will train teachers on the use of the new EIBL package. Facilitators: Sc Exploria Working Committee

CheMystery Trail

Given a specific challenge, pupils will learn to make inferences and conclusions through engaging in a series of scientific experiments and investigative tasks. Pupils will be exposed to some aspects of Secondary science such as qualitative analysis, chromatography, etc.

Teachers will also be learning how to organize such activities for their school.
