Community Involvement Programme (CIP)

Vision:
To inculcate in our students a spirit of caring and sharing so that they may become active citizens in the community

Events

  1. Adopt-a-Home (AAH)
    *** Our pupils have adopted and visited the Moral Welfare Home for the past 7 years.  The visits are carried out during Festive seasons such as Chinese New Year & Deepavali (in February and November)

  2. Use Your Hand Campaign
    *** This is carried out in the school compound.  The Use Your Hand Campaign is carried out twice a year i.e. in May and November.

  1. Happy Toilet School Education (HTSE) Programme

          *** The Happy Toilet School Education (HTSE) Programme's first phase of decorations was 

          completed by the 25th of March '07.  The Girls & Boys toilets in Level 1 were decorated based 

          on the themes 'Underwater World' and 'Animal World' respectively.  A total of 20 Primary 5 

          pupils from P5A, B and C were selected by their form teachers for this programme.  They 

          are known as the "Toilet Ambassadors".

 

           

               The toilets in the other levels of the School will be decorated based on themes such as 

                       'Disney World', 'Maple Story Characters', and 'Fables and Fairy Tales' etc. 

 

 
  1. Adopt-a-Park (AAP) Programme

          *** We have adopted a plot at Mount Faber Park and our upper primary pupils, go there to tend to 

          the plants and maintain the park.

 

          On 23rd February 2007 (Friday),  the Primary 5 pupils went  to Mt. Faber Park to carry out their 

          CIP duties.  They were accompanied by their (form teachers), Mr Thilak, Mrs Wee and Mr Kannan, 

          Mdm Liu (CIP Coordinator) and Ms S.Sujatha (Asst. CIP Coordinator). The pupils did pruning, 

          watering, weeding, and planting.  They learnt how to add fertilizers as well.

  1. Recycling Programme

          *** The Recycling Programme is a programme in which old newspapers, papers and even   

          cardboards are collected.  The Primary 5 & 6 pupils are actively involved in this programme.  

          The materials collected are sold to the rag-and-bone man.  The money collected is utilised to buy 

          items such as tins of Milo, Rice, and Biscuits etc for the Moral Welfare Home that the School had

          adopted.
