Henry Park Primary School began functioning with 287 pupils on 22nd March 1977 . It was officially opened by The Honourable Member of Parliment for Ulu Pandan, Dr Chiang Hai Ding on 7th April 1978 . Henry Park has come a long way from its humble beginnings to the mega school it is now, boasting a student population of 2160.

Henry Park Primary is a high achieving school and its pupils have consistently performed very well at National Examinations. The school also offers a wide range of Co-curricular and enrichment activities. The twin pillars of the school are Excellence in Academic Performance and Excellence in Character Building , upon which the school programmes are aligned.

The school is also recognised for its Partnership with its Stakeholders. As a result, the school was awarded the Outstanding Partners' Award for 2002 - 2007. The most active group is the Parents Association which has a total of 600 members to date. There is also the Henry Park Primary School Alumni. The school is also working very closely with Industry Partners and the Community.
