Overview
Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) plays a key role in the holistic development of all Kent Ridgeans. We currently offer 18 CCAs that can be classified into the 4 different categories:

NCDCCThe National Civil Defence Cadet Corp (NCDCC) was introduced to KRSS in January 2006, and become one of the 18 schools in the whole of Singapore to be set up. It is closely affiliated with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) in terms of its doctrines and related training or activities. The NCDCC in KRSS effectively replaced the St John's Ambulance Brigade in the school. The current cadets are made up of the newly joined Secondary 1 students, and newly-converted students from the Secondary 2 and 3 Levels. |

The Girls' BrigadeThe Girls' Brigade is one of the oldest Christian uniformed youth organizations for girls in the world. It's mission for the 21st century is to develop each girl to her fullest potential by equipping, empowering and enabling every girl to be a leader. |

The Boy' BrigadeThe 74th company started in 2000 with 7 boys and has grown to about 60 members strong. Our programme is run by volunteers from the Bible Church. We have a whole range of activities such as devotions, drills, Lifeskills, kayaking, rockwall climbing, archery and yearly camps that help our boys learn habits of Obedience, Discipline, Self-respect and true Christian manliness. We aim to be the Uniformed Group of choice in KRSS. |

Badminton (Girls)Our badminton girls have had regular trainings every Mondays and Fridays to prepare themselves with various game strategies, techniques and skills needed for tournaments. They will be participating in the Annual Singapore Sports Council South Zone Badminton Tournament which will commence at the end of January next year. Training will be stepped up to 3 times a week during the Nov-Dec holidays with a short break in between.

BasketballThe school is proud to engage an ex-National Coach and ex-National Player, Mr. Ng Hang Kee, to coach the team. The boys have soared from his mentoring, abundant knowledge and experience in the game. |

SoccerThe Kent Ridge soccer boys take part regularly in training sessions and tournaments, from which they learnt valuable lessons in discipline, commitment and team work. |

Dance ClubThe Kent Ridge Dance Club was set up in 2002 with a strength of 18 members. Under the patient guidance of the teachers, and the tireless tutelage of the dance choreographer, Mr Benedict Soh, who inspired the girls and nurtured in them the love for artistic movements and the knowledge of dance as an art form, the girls quickly flourished into graceful dancers. |

Drama ClubThe Kent Ridge Drama Club was started in 2001 with the aim to provide its members with opportunities to learn about play craft and to put up performances for Kent Ridgeans to enjoy. Members are put through basic Drama movements like miming, voice control and improvisation. |

Kent Ridge Symphonic BandEstablished in 2001, Kent Ridge Symphonic Band has grown radically to become the multi-faceted CCA that it is today - a place where leaders are groomed, friendships are built and vibrant generation of musicians are nurtured. The band also plays a part in shaping the artistic and cultural climate of our school with our wide repertoire that ranges from classical work to jazz, pop, rock and even tradtional folk songs.

Kent Ridge VoicesThe Kent Ridge Choir - "Kent Ridge Voices" - was formed when the school started in January 2000. It aims to be a dynamic vocal group as it strives for choral excellence. To achieve this, the choir has undergone intensive training and voice enrichment under voice specialists.

InfoComm ClubIn 2006 , Kent Ridge Secondary School started the InfoComm Club Programme through the IT Club. This is a joint effort by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore and the MOE to expand students; creative and entrepreneurial spirit through the application of Information Communication in the school. |

Media ClubThe Media Club, formerly known as the AVA Club, began in 2000 with only 6 pioneer members under the Media Resource Library. The year 2002 was a milestone for the club as it celebrated its recognition as an official CCA. |

Media Resource LibraryThe Media Resource Library is an enriching CCA with strength of 60 student librarians who are trained in essential library skills such as shelving, processing new books, assigning barcodes & call numbers using the MERLIN system and putting up thematic book displays. Besides manning the library on their duty days, our student librarians are also involved in meaningful CIP programmes and various publicity events every year. |
