In January 1966, MacPherson Primay School started as an integrated school. English and Chinese were the mediums of instruction. The first principal was Mr Yeo Soon Ann, JP. BBM, who served from Jan 1966 to Jan 1975. Pupil enrolment then exceeded 2000.

Official Opening of the school on 7 June 1967.

Mr Luo Chih Chung was appointment Principal in Feb 1975.

Mr Colin Pereira took over from Mr Luo from October 1985. He served until June 1995.

The school celebrated its 25th Anniversary.

Mr Vincent Sim was appointed Principal in June 1995.

Absorption of Aljunied Primary School on 15th December 1997 Mrs Wang Chee Ting took over as Principal. School shifted to 6A Mattar Road.

Phase 1 PRIME programme commences. Official Opening of the School Care Centre.

Mr Phua Kia Wang became the first Principal of the new millenium. Awarded MOE, Sustained Achievement Award (Sports)

Merger of Woodsville Primary and MacPherson Primary School. MacPherson Prmary School entered into its new era with new vision, mission, logo and philosophy. School opened its doors at its new 1.8 hectare site at 2, Mattar Road with state-of-art facilities. Handing Over Ceremony was held on 22 Feb 2002.

Official Opening of our new campus, 'The Learning Place @ MacPherson by Mayor Othman Haron Eusofe on 9 Jul 2004'.
Awarded MOE, Sustained Achievement Award (Sports) 4th Award.


The school achieved national recognition:
People Developer Standard awarded by SPRING, Singapore.
National Arts Education awarded by National Arts Council.
MOE Sustained Achievement Award for Sports (5th Award)
MOE Development Award (National Education)
