For each child who enters Outram, we seek to inculcate in them not only a Sense of Belonging – to the school, society and nation, but also develop Perseverance, Integrity, Responsibility, Industriousness and Teamwork (SPIRIT). Our school motto “Labour Conquers All” has stood the test of time. We would like each of our students to appreciate and embrace the value of industriousness and understand that hard work will help them overcome all odds.

In 2008, we would like to focus on creating a learner-centred and learning-centred environment that will promote self-directed learning and learning to work in teams. This means taking responsibility to implement a study plan, set targets for both academic and non-academic goals and to participate actively in school programmes which have been designed to promote leadership and entrepreneurship development, acquisition of positive character traits and values and the ability to work well in teams.
