Introduction
Students will be exposed to the plethora of artistic and cultural expression
in the world today and invited to challenge conventional definitions of culture.
They will look at how cultures develop and respond to external influences,
as well as consider how the fusion of various cultures has given birth
to new opportunities and problems alike.
Class discussions will include reflections on the direction in which
Singapore culture is changing and the role of the local arts scene in that evolution.
