DRAMA CLUB

Objectives

The Drama Club aims to

Nurture members’ interest in performing arts.

Help members to cultivate a sense of confidence in speech and performance.

Brief Description

Incepted in January 2007, the Drama Club provides a platform for pupils to learn through play. The activities are selected to help pupils explore their feelings and develop their sense of self-confidence through articulation, voice projection and other body movements.

Targets

To increase members’ awareness of performing arts.

To prepare members for school-based performances.

Activities

At weekly meetings, members are introduced to a combination of visual and performing arts activities and problem-solving games to help them to interact with one another, explore their feelings and stretch their imagination.

Members with leadership abilities are also groomed for leadership positions in the club and given opportunities to attend the leadership camps organised by the school as well as among Lasallian Schools.

Day and Time of Meeting

Tuesdays, 1:30 p.m – 3:30 p.m.

Additional Information

Pupils will have to go through an Entrance Test.
Pupils will have to commit to a minimum of 2 years in the CCA.
